Austin Eckroat will be keen to become the second golfer to win back-to-back

What to know about Eckroat
The American golfer turned professional in 2021 and he was a four-time All-American, and won a team title in 2018 as an amateur.
Eckroat has since won two professional tournaments so far and he achieved his best performance in a golf major at the 2023 US Open when he finished 10th.

The 26-year-old has been inactive since he competed in the 2025 Genesis Invitational in California where he missed the cut.
Eckroat is currently ranked 44th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is 34th.
Why Eckroat is among the favourites
The 2024 World Wide Technology Championship winner returns to the PGA National Resort and Spa where he won his first PGA Tour event at the Cognizant Classic in 2024.
Eckroat won three shots ahead of runners-up Erik van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee, and he will be eager to replicate the same form in this weekend's tournament.
