2024/25 English Premier League
Matchday 23
Fulham v Manchester United
Craven Cottage
London, England
Sunday, 26 January 2025
Kick-off is at 21h00

Manchester United will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they travel to West London for a Premier League clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday, January 26 in the late kick-off.

The Red Devils didn't pay a very fitting tribute to club legend Denis Law, who passed away just two days before their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Brighton at a sombre Old Trafford on January 19.

Ruben Amorim's side have now lost three of their last five league games and are languishing down in 13th position, a staggering 12 points adrift of the top four.

The Cottagers halted a three-game winless run with a 2-0 triumph over relegation-threatened Leicester on January 18 which took them five points clear of Brentford (11th) in 10th spot.

Marco Silva's side have only lost five matches all season, but they've drawn far too many times, with just the Seagulls managing to pick up more one-point hauls than their nine.

Silva has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from as only Kenny Tete (knee) and Reiss Nelson (thigh) are unavailable for selection. United's injury concerns have also eased up of late, with Luke Shaw (calf), Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount (thigh) ruled out of the trip to the English capital.

Silva reserved special praise for Harry Wilson, who created the most chances of any player on the pitch against the Foxes and had a hand in both goals to earn him the Man-of-the-Match award.

"I think he's performing at a very good level," the Portuguese said of Wilson. "On the ball, off the ball, he's been one of the examples.

"The way he's working hard really off the ball too and being able to score or be able to assist is everything that we expected from a forward player at the level that we are playing.

"Congratulations to him. He should keep this level because at this level he's going to keep helping us for sure."

Amorim is adamant that he won't change his approach to the way United are playing since he took charge, admitting both the players and the fans are going to endure more agony as he looks to steady the ship.

"That is clear for me. With me, it's clear I'm not going to change the way I see the game. I'm very clear on that," the Portuguese said.

"The players will suffer and the fans are going to suffer. I'm really sorry, I have one way of doing things. We need to survive this moment and it's very clear for everybody what we are going to do.

"I've explained this situation. I will play the way I play because that was the idea. I was very clear in everything, with the fans, the board and everybody. They knew what to expect with me.

"But it's not the important thing, it's not acceptable to lose so many games. In five games at home, to lose four and win one, is really hard for any club. Imagine it at Manchester United - so we need to improve."
