2024-25 NBA Regular Season
Oklahoma City Thunder v Memphis Grizzlies

Paycom Centre
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Friday 28 March
Tip-off at 02:00

Oklahoma City Thunder will be hosting the Memphis Grizzlies in an NBA regular season clash at the Paycom Centre on Friday morning. The Western Conference leaders are currently on a six-match winning streak.

Despite numerous injuries throughout the season, the Thunder have adopted a "next man up" philosophy.

This dynamic approach has allowed them to successfully navigate absences of key players, ultimately benefiting the team's depth and overall strength.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has captured significant attention this season, even among the NBA's elite.

His impressive 40-point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves on New Year's Eve even prompted Anthony Edwards to declare him the league's MVP.

"I've always felt like I was one of the top players in the league," Gilgeous-Alexander told FOX Sports. "Very confident in my game. Very confident in how hard I work. I think I go out there and show it on a nightly basis."

Former NBA star Tony Allen believes that Ja Morant is capable of spearheading the Grizzlies, after leading the team to back-to-back second-place finishes in the Western Conference.

Even with Morant's recent struggles, head coach Taylor Jenkins remains confident in his star point guard. Jenkins believes that a healthy and in-form Morant is the key to leading the Grizzlies to their first championship.

"This guy is must-see TV, (rather) I mean box-office if you ask me. This year, he has been hit with a few injuries… they was No. 2 at one point, and they was playing so well as a unit. You've got guys like Jaren Jackson Jr., who was an All-Star this year, and I think they just got to get healthy at this time, now," Allen said.

"Ja Morant is the spearhead of this organization. We go as he go. I just need him to be Ja."
