Francesco Bagnaia will be keen to become the second rider to win three successive
San Marino MotoGP titles after Jorge Lorenzo.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider avoided a serious injury at the recent 2023 Catalan MotoGP which took place on 3 September as he was involved in a horror crash.
Bagnaia was involved in an incident on the opening lap of the grand prix while leading after he was flung from his Ducati exiting Turn 2 on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
2022 San Marino MotoGP
The Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer was in his element at the 2022 San Marino MotoGP as he won the race comfortably.
The reigning MotoGP world champion equalled his best performance in this event having also won the 2021 race.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2023 San Marino MotoGP
The VR46 Riders Academy product remains the favourite to win the 2023 MotoGP world title as he is still placed at the top of the riders' standings.
Bagnaia has won Portuguese MotoGP, Spanish MotoGP, Italian MotoGP, Dutch MotoGP, and Austrian MotoGP this season and is now looking to win on home soil.
What did he say?
"I didn't have much grip on the warm-up lap," Bagnaia, 26, told Sky television ahead of the 2023 San Marino MotoGP.
"I had a nasty bang. At the moment it's difficult to understand what happened. It certainly wasn't a normal fall. I'll go everything to be at Misano"
