We knew that it was a game which required a lot of energy, but our players relished this because there was a lot at stake. It's like a final," Sevilla manager Quique Sánchez Flores said after his side's draw against Betis.
"We played against a great team, in front of 60,000 of their supporters as well as 500 of our own, whom we have to thank. We were competitive, we managed to come away with a result despite the penalty and some of the mistakes we made, but we showed more personality.
"We have taken some small steps forward in the last few games and I think tonight showed that we're still moving in the right direction."
