What to know about Schauffele
The American star was a successful amateur golfer ranked in the top 10 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and he is currently among the best professionals in the world.
Boasting 12 professional victories, Schauffele won the Tour Championship in 2017 and the recent The Open Championship in 2024.

The 30-year-old took a break from professional golf after competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics golf tournament where he finished ninth.
Schauffele is currently placed second in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is second.
Why Schauffele is among the favourites
Schauffele’s win at The Open Championship marked his ninth PGA Tour win and second victory this season, with his first title coming at the PGA Championship in May.
Schauffele is set to make his eighth consecutive appearance at the St. Jude Championship, where he holds four top-25 finishes in seven starts (T17/2017; CUT/2018; CUT/2019; T25/2020; T16/2021; T57/2022; T24/2023).
