2023/24 English Premier League
Matchday 24
Liverpool v Burnley
Anfield
Liverpool, England
Saturday, 10 February 2024
Kick-off is at 17h00
Premier League leaders Liverpool will target a return to winning ways when they welcome struggling Burnley to Anfield on Saturday, February 10.
The Reds lost for the first time in 16 matches after they went down 3-1 to title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on February 4 to see their lead at the summit cut down to just two points.
The Gunners (3rd) kept pace with Manchester City, who recorded a 3-1 comeback win against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on February 5 to remain in second place on goal difference.

The Clarets (19th) failed to gain ground on the teams above them at the bottom end of the standings following a 2-2 draw with Fulham at Turf Moor, with the Toffees (18th) and Luton (17th) also picking up draws to stay six and seven points clear of them.
Time is running out for Vincent Kompany's side, who have collected just two points from their last five outings and registered only three wins all season.
In team news, the hosts continue to be without a whole host of players as Joel Matip (ACL), Stefan Bajcetic (calf), Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai (both thigh), Konstantinos Tsimikas (shoulder), Wataru Endo (international duty), Conor Bradley (family bereavement) and Ibrahima Konate (suspension) are all unavailable. Nathan Redmond (thigh) and Luca Koleosho (knee) are long-term absentees for Kompany, who could welcome back Jordan Beyer (thigh), Charlie Taylor (shoulder) and Hannes Delcroix (knock).
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to build up a head of steam again after their setback in North London, but he doesn't expect Burnley to make it easy for them.
"We didn't lose recently an awful lot of football games, we know that. That means dealing with defeats is a challenge," Klopp said.
"We have now a rather longer week, I think we play on Saturday, so we will use that for rest, we will use that for training and will be properly prepared for the next game.
"Nobody here expects, in our dressing room at least, that we just will fly over Burnley or whatever. They fight for their targets, it's a really talented group, unlucky in moments and stuff like this. But it's a home game and we can turn things around."
Kompany was pleased to get a response from his players in the second half after they conceded two sloppy goals against Fulham before half-time.
"We just didn't get going but at half-time I saw a team that had character, passion and wanted to fight and they had a little go at each other, then had a huddle out on the pitch and they were ready," Kompany said.
"You could see it and feel it. They ran their socks off and got their reward for it."
