Celta are also unbeaten in their last three home matches in the league having recorded one win and two draws at the Abanca-Balaídos.

Meanwhile, Betis drew 1-1 with Girona FC at home on 21 December as they extended their unbeaten run to 13 matches in La Liga.

However, the Green and Whites are also winless in their last eight away league matches in the league having registered six defeats and two draws as the visitors.

Team News

Joseph Aidoo, Carl Starfelt and Mihailo Ristic are on Celta's injury list at the moment, but the Sky Blues have no suspension concerns.

On the other hand, Betis have some of the longest injury lists in La Liga, but they don't have suspension worries.

Marc Roca, Abde Ezzalzouli, Héctor Bellerín, Guido Rodríguez, Nabil Fekir, Youssouf Sabaly, Dani Pérez, Marc Bartra and Claudio Bravo are all injured.

Quotes

"When you play well or badly you can draw many conclusions," Celta manager Rafael Benitez said after their loss to Villarreal.

"Sometimes due to poor positioning, sometimes due to carelessness, sometimes due to lack of quality and sometimes due to mistakes by the coach who made a mistake.

"The analysis must be done calmly, when you get to this position, with the goals we concede, you realise that something is not working in the defensive structure. This is a team that concedes a lot of goals, in recent years too," he added.

"It is something that we have to continue working on and improve. We created many chances but we lack that success. We have to find that balance."

Head-to-Head

Celta claimed a 4-3 win over Betis in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at the Estadio Benito Villamarín on 4 February 2023.

Therefore, the Sky Blues are undefeated in their last four league games against the Green and Whites having recorded three wins and one draw.
