Quotes

"It was a bad first half, very weak, against a good team who are in good form," Sevilla manager Quique Sánchez Flores said after his side's loss to Bilbao.

We encouraged their pressure with mistakes at the start of the match, making silly errors at the back.... We made it fairly easy for them to come at us, we weren't in the opposition half

"We only managed a decent five-minute spell in which we pushed forward and recovered quickly. It didn't last long and their key men played with a lot of freedom."

Head-to-Head

Alaves claimed a 4-3 win over Sevilla in their last meeting in La Liga with the game taking place at Estadio de Mendizorroza on 21 August 2023.

The win ended the Glorious One's nine-match winless run against Sevillistas in the league having lost six times and drawn thrice.
