Xander Schauffele will be keen to become the eighth golfer to win the Travelers Championship more than once - emulating the likes of Arnold Palmer and Phil Mickelson.
What to know about Schauffele
The American star has won 11 professional tournaments and he has won one golf major so far in his career which was the 2024 PGA Championship.
Schauffele, who has eight wins in the PGA Tour, won the Olympic gold medal at the men's individual golf event of the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The San Diego-born golfer was in action at the recent 2024 US Open where he secured a top 10 finish - finishing seventh as his compatriot Bryson DeChambeau was crowned champion.
Schauffele is placed third on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is second place.
Why Schauffele is among the favourites
The 2016/17 PGA Rookie of the Year won the Travelers Championship in 2022 - a stroke in front entering the day saw Schauffele finish with a 2-under 68 at TPC River Highlands.
The 30-year-old beat Sahith Theegala and J.T. Poston by two strokes. Schauffele, who had a 19-under 261 total in 2022, will be looking to replicate the same performance this weekend.

“My mind was telling me to hit a good drive and then use your sand wedge or lob wedge in there and make birdie,” Schauffele said after winning the 2022 Travelers Championship.
“To sit there and watch what happened was a bit of a shock, obviously. I really had to try and focus on the task at hand.”
