Collin Morikawa will be determined to finally win the
Charles Schwab Challenge title with the trophy having eluded him in 2020.
What to know about Morikawa
The American star began his PGA Tour career with 22 consecutive made cuts, second only to golf icon Tiger Woods' 25-cut streak.
Morikawa has six PGA Tour wins – including two major championships, the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship, winning both in his debut.

The Los Angeles-born golfer was in action at the recent 2024 PGA Championship and he finished fourth in the golf major tournament.
As a result, Morikawa is placed ninth on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is second.
Why Morikawa is among the favourites
The Las Vegas-based golfer was tied for the lead of the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge after 72 holes and he finished second behind champion Daniel Berger.
Morikawa has been playing well in recent months having finished in the top 10 in two of his last three tournaments namely, PGA Championship and RBC Heritage.

"Everything. The putter kept me in this tournament, and it just disappeared today [Sunday]," Morikawa, whose 34 putts on Sunday were the most by any golfer in the field, said when asked what went wrong at the 2024 PGA Championship.
“To win a major championship, you’ve got to have your solid golf game. People talk about winning with their ‘B’ game, ‘C’ game, ‘A’ game. I felt like even though I’ve been putting the results together, it still feels like I’m playing with a ‘C’ to ‘B’ game.”
