2023/24 English Premier League
Matchday 37
Fulham v Manchester City
Craven Cottage
London, England
Saturday, 11 May 2024
Kick-off is at 13h30
Manchester City have a chance to reclaim top spot in the
Premier League for 24 hours at least when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, May 11 in the lunchtime kick-off.
The race for the league title looks set to go down to the wire again this season, with Arsenal holding a one-point lead over the Citizens in the standings, albeit having played one game more.
Pep Guardiola's side thrashed Wolves 5-1 at the Etihad Stadium on May 4 to keep pace with the Gunners, who ran out 3-0 victors over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium earlier that same day.
Liverpool returned to winning ways as they beat Tottenham 4-2 at Anfield on May 5, but their faint title hopes depend entirely on whether the two teams above them slip up, with the gap to City standing at four points.
The Cottagers are still within a shout of finishing in the top 10, although they need results to go their way in the final two games of the campaign.
Marco Silva's side are four points adrift of Bournemouth (10th) in 13th position after playing out to a 0-0 draw with Brentford in a West London derby at the Gtech Community Stadium on May 4.
They've won just one of their last five matches, although the form of Wolves (12th) and Brighton (11th) has been equally poor in recent weeks.

In team news, Harrison Reed is the only concern for the hosts and will be assessed in the coming days after returning to training. Guardiola has a fully-fit squad at his disposal for the most crucial part of the campaign.
Silva hailed the performance of his players in the last two games against Crystal Palace and the Bees, insisting they will continue to fight for every point on offer to finish as high as possible in the table.
"The players have been showing what good professionals they are, how they fight for the shirt [and] how they want to get as many points as they can because in the end it's about points and the results," the Portuguese told FulhamTV.
"They have been showing that and of course as you prepare for this game [and] as you prepare for the Palace game, we are going to do the same for City and Luton."

Guardiola acknowledged City can afford to drop any points in their final three outings if they want to retain the trophy.
"We play Fulham and have to win. Arsenal know they have to win," the Spaniard said. "All the staff and the fans know it. One mistake and you will not win the Premier League.
"The players know that if we don't win, ciao ciao bye bye. We play Fulham, they play Manchester United [away]. It's difficult.
"The situation we are in, it will not be easy. Three games, it is in our hands. If we win the games, we will be champions. It’s going to be easy? No but it's in our hands."
