Nick Taylor will be determined to successfully retain the
Canadian Open when he tees off at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
What to know about Taylor
The Canadian star turned professional in 2010 and he won his second consecutive Pac-10 Golfer of the Year award in the same year.
Taylor has won five professional tournaments including four PGA Tour events and he scooped the 2010 Ben Hogan Award for the top men's collegiate golfer.

The Winnipeg-born golfer took a short break from competitive golf after competing in the 2024 PGA Championship where he missed the cut.
Taylor is currently placed 30th on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) and his best OWGR rank is 24th.
Why Taylor is among the favourites
The former University of Washinton student won the 2023 Canadian Open after he holed a 72-foot putt for eagle to win in a playoff match against Tommy Fleetwood.
Taylor has tasted success in the 2024 PGA Tour season as he won the WM Phoenix Open and he will be looking to record his second win of the term this weekend.

"I was on the seventh hole, I remember, the first day, my 16th hole, with 10 feet for par," Taylor said after winning the 2023 Canadian Open.
"And made that. And birdied 8 and parred the last to kind of like somewhat be in the cut sight. So to be standing there and then sitting here today is pretty remarkable, to be honest.
"It's a tournament that we've circled on our calendar since probably junior golf. To kind of break that curse, if you want to call it, is -- I'm pretty speechless. I don't think it's going to sink in for quite some time what happened today."
