2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship is scheduled to take place in Southampton Parish, Bermuda between 9 and 12 November.
What to know about the tournament
This PGA Tour event debuted in October/November 2019 as part of the 2020 season and it is played at the Port Royal Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones.
Jones - a British-American golf course architect - designed or re-designed more than 500 golf courses in 45 US states and 35 countries until he passed away in 2000.
In 2021, Butterfield Bank - a bank founded and based in Bermuda - joined the Bermuda Tourism Board as a co-title sponsor hence the name Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
The field
This is set to be a 132-player field and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played out over four days, with this event marking the sixth event of the FedEx Fall.
The field will be headlined by the likes of Lucas Glover, Brian Gay, Adam Scott, Lucas Herbert, Brendon Todd and Akshay Bhatia at the Port Royal Golf Course.
Unfortunately, Seamus Power remains sidelined with injury sadly ruling the champion Irish-born golfer out of his defence of this week's Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
What Is At Stake
The 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship carries a total prize purse of $6,5 million and that means the winner will take home $1,17 million.
The champion will also earn 500 FedEx Cup points and a trophy that is made from Bermuda cedar - a sturdy, aromatic indigenous tree formed a cornerstone in Bermuda.

“It’s a move into the big leagues. In the last couple of years, we’ve made a big effort to grow the event and we’ve made huge strides by adding new features. With people getting excited about our elevated status, we are working to continue that trend this year.”
