The 14th edition of the RSM Classic will be held at the Sea Island Golf Club in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, United States from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 November 2023.
What to know about the tournament
Hosted by golf legend David Love III, this tournament was first named the McGladrey Classic until 2015, when the title sponsor's name changed from McGladrey to RSM US. It was established in 2010.
The tournament is played across two courses at the Sea Island Golf Club: the Seaside Course (7005 yards, par 70) and the Plantation Course (7160 yards, par 72).
The only player to win the RSM Classic twice is Robert Streb of the United States, who claimed the title in 2014 and 2020.
The field
The field will feature 156 players, competing over four days in the seventh and final ‘FedEc Cup Fall’ event of the PGA Tour season.
The field is headlined by 2022 RSM Classic champion Adam Svensson, Open champion Brian Harmon, Ludvig Aberg, Cameron Young, Matt Kuchar and Billy Horschel.
What is at stake
The RSM Classic will serve as the final official PGA Tour event of the 2022-23 season. Rounding off the ‘FedEx Cup Fall’, this will be the final chance for players who finished outside the top 70 (which qualified them for the FedEx Cup playoffs) to earn points to stay among the top 125 and keep their PGA Tour card for 2024. There is also a purse of US$ 8.4 million, with the winner set to take home more than US$ 1.5 million.
