Burundi will be keen to complete a double over Malawi in the
2025 AFCON qualifier at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny on 14 November.
Current Form
The Swallows suffered a 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso at home on 13 October and they are winless in their last three matches across all competitions.
Burundi are also winless in their last five home matches having recorded four defeats and one draw as they continue to play their home games in Ivory Coast.
Meanwhile, Malawi succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Senegal at home on 15 October and they are winless in their last five matches across all competitions.
The Flames are also winless in their four away games having registered four consecutive defeats as the away side.

Burundi will be without the services of their captain Saido Berahino who recently picked up a back injury and has been replaced by Hussein Shabani in the Swallows squad.
Meanwhile, Malawi have been boosted by the return to Frank Gabadinho Mhango's return to the Flames squad, while Zimbabwean tactician Kalisto Pasuwa has taken charge of the team as an interim coach after Patrick Mabedi's departure.

This will be the third meeting between Burundi and Malawi across all competitions. The Swallows boast of an unbeaten record against the Flames having registered one win and one draw.
The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 3-2 win in favour of Burundi in the 2025 AFCON qualifier played at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on 5 September.
