What to know about Villegas
At 16, Villegas became the first player in Colombian golf history to win the Amateur's Grand Slam in the same year before moving to the USA in 2001.
The Colombian star turned professional in 2004 and he has since won 12 tournaments including five PGA Tour events and a Japan Golf Tour event.

The man nicknamed Spider-man was in action in the recent 2024 World Wide Technology Championship where he missed the cut.
Spider-man is currently placed 276th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is seventh.
Why Villegas is among the favourites
Villegas came up with key birdies down the stretch Sunday for a 6-under 65 to win the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in November 2023.
The experienced golfer knows what it takes to win at the Port Royal Golf Course and this makes him one of the favourites to clinch this weekend's trophy.
