The
2023 Shriners Children's Open is set to take place at the TPC at Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA between 12 and 15 October.
What to know about the tournament
Founded 40 years ago in 1983, it was the fourth event of the Tour's 2019/20 wrap-around season and it is played annually in October in Las Vegas.
The event is currently held at the TPC Summerlin, west of central Las Vegas at an approximate average elevation of 2,700 feet (820 m) above sea level.
In 2007, the tournament announced that the Shriners Hospitals for Children would take over the operations of the event and they are the tournament organizers.
The field
There will be 132 players on the field including defending champion Tom Kim who made it two wins in a row for South Korea when he clinched last year's tournament.
This year's Shriners Children's Open will be headlined by Kim, his compatriot and 2021 winner Si Woo Kim, Emiliano Grillo, Ludvig Aberg as well as Tom Hoge.
LGPA Tour superstar Lexi Thompson will also compete against men in the PGA Tour tournament.
What Is At Stake
The 2023 Shriners Children's Open features an $8.4 million purse, with $1.51 million to the winner
The champion will also earn 500 FedEx Cup points and a trophy made of glass.
