A much-rejuvenated Jorge Martin has expressed his eagerness to claim the 2024 MotoGP title ahead of the keenly anticipated Australian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Martin finished in 2nd place at the Japanese Grand Prix last time out and ultimately saw his lead at the top of the rider’s standings drop by 10 points.

The Prima Pramac Racing rider trailed Bagnaia for 20 laps at the Twin Ring Motegi racing track before subsequently moving up to 392 points with four races to go.

Nonetheless, the Martinator recently revealed how he had a change in mindset after losing out on the 2023 MotoGP title in the final round.

“In February after the break, when we started again, I didn’t want to go back to the MotoGP bike,” Martin said.

“I had a lot of fears. I didn’t know if I was able to be as fast as before.

“Then I jumped on the bike. I understood it was the same. I was fast again, I could fight again.

“My target now is to fight and to give 100%.”

2024 Japanese Grand Prix Prix results:
