Madison Keys will square off with Aryna Sabalenka in the
2023 US Open semi-final match on 8 September.
Previous round
Keys confidently swatted aside Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova 6-1, 6-4 in a quarter-final encounter on 7 September.
Sabalenka, on the other hand, was in top form on 6 September as she crushed Zheng Qinwen 6-1, 6-4 to reach the semi-finals.
US Open record
Keys is making her third appearance in the semi-finals of this Grand Slam tournament having reached the final once - in 2017 when she lost to Sloane Stephens.
The American star, who is placed 17th on the singles rankings of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), is yet to win a grand slam title.
While Sabalenka will be making her third appearance in the semi-finals having featured in the 2021 and 2022 last four matches.
The Belarusian star, who is ranked second in the singles rankings of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), won the 2023 Australian Open - her maiden grand slam title win.

“Almost a completely different match tomorrow,” Keys said, referencing the different styles of Vondrousova and Sabalenka.
“There’s a reason she’s No. 1 in the world. ... It’s going to be a lot of hard-hitting. Not a lot of long points.
"Honestly, just going to try to buckle up and get as many balls back as I can.”
Head-to-Head record
This will be the fourth meeting between Keys and Sabalenka in a professional tournament.
Sabalenka has the upper hand in this rivalry having won two matches compared to Keys' one victory.
Their last meeting saw Sabalenka reach the 2023 Wimbledon semi-finals with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Keys on 12 July.
