Jorge Martin will be looking to maintain his spot at the top of the MotoGP Riders' standings by winning the Indonesian MotoGP for the first time.

The Ducati Prima Pramac Racing rider came close to winning the Indonesian MotoGP on 22 September, the most recent race on the 2024 MotoGP calendar.
Martin finished second in both the race and sprint event which saw him accumulate 29 points from the race staged at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
MotoGP title ambitions
The man nicknamed Marinator is still placed at the top of the MotoGP Riders' standings having accumulated 341 points from 14 races.
Marinator is 24 points ahead of leader Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo Team with six races left in the current season.
Why Martin could win the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP
The former Gresini Racing driver has impressively finished second in six of the last nine races this term and he has also won races in Portugal, and France.
Martin will be targeting his third victory of the season at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit in order to maintain his top spot.
What did he say?
“I think I did a great weekend," Martin said after the 2024 Emilia Romagna MotoGP.
“For sure, I wanted to win but it’s ok. I’m happy with my performance, I’m happy with my qualifying. The target is the end of the season.
"I will keep working, keep learning and I am happy. If I look just at the final results, today it could be better. But let’s move forward.”
